27.08.2010    MDF Conducted Public Hearings of the Projects Environmental Impact Assessments
  On August 24-27 the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia (MDF) and “Eko-Spectri” Ltd conducted public hearings of the projects environmental impact assessments (EIAs) in various regions of Georgia, in Ambrolauri, Ozurgeti, Mtskheta and Tetritskaro Districts. The Public hearings were attended by the staff members of the municipal services, representatives of the non-government organizations and mass media.

18.08.2010  The Representative of the Asian Development Bank Takes Interest in the Practical Outcomes of the MDF Projects in Samtskhe-Javakheti Region
 

Mr. Floyd Whaley, the senior editor of “Development Asia”, the publication of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), took interest in the projects implemented by the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia (MDF) with the ADB financial support in Samtskhe-Javakheti and visited this region. His trip in Samtskhe-Javakheti Region started in Akhaltsikhe Town, where the MDF is implementing several projects for roads and water supply rehabilitation. After visiting completed and ongoing project sites, Mr. Whaley talked the to local residents about the practical outcomes of the projects.

30.07.2010   The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia (MDF) has a New Executive Director
 Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (MRDI), introduced the new Executive Director, Mr. Levan Chichinadze, to the MDF staff members. “I am absolutely positive about the successful work of the MDF and believe that after some renovation the MDF will function even more efficiently. I would also like to emphasize the important role of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure as the coordinating agency in regulating and concerting the activities of the MDF, Roads Department of Georgia and the United Water Supply Company of Georgia”, said Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili to the MDF staff members. “I believe that the MDF plays an important role in the development of our country’s infrastructure  more > > >

23.07.2010    MDF Implementing 16 New Projects in Imereti Region
 This year the MDF is implementing 16 new projects in Imereti Region totaling to up to GEL 21 million. These projects envisage rehabilitation of the municipal roads in the Region. This year the MDF is also completing the water supply rehabilitation project of Kutaisi Town totaling to GEL 33.6 million.
On July 23, 2010 Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and Mr. Constantine Mgeladze, the Executive Director of the MDF arrived in Imereti Region and together with the local authorities visited the ongoing project sites.  more > > >
